The Course
At a little over 6000 yards, Whitehead’s stunning course is divided into two halves. The ‘top nine’ holes, several of which hug the spectacular Antrim coastline, is rarely without its insistent breeze that can easily confound your expectations for club selection. The hilly opening holes precede a more level section of the course before descending again to the ninth green. Crossing the brae for the ‘bottom nine’ takes you into more conventional parkland golf habitat with trees lining the fairways‘ edges but retaining the hills, both up and down, that are a defining feature of the course.
